Playing with my new toy.... I bought a new DSLR camera yesterday in a somewhat spur of the moment decision. I had been thinking about one for a long time and when I saw a great deal at Costco I decided to go for it.
I know these pictures aren't masterpieces or anything, but being able to get a better depth of field and all the other options were fun to play with. It's going to take me a LONG time to really figure it all out. In the end, most of the pictures that came out the best from this first shooting session were taken on 'Auto'. So much for creativity huh?

they are beautiful, natasha! what'd you get? i have lots of resources i can point you to if you really want to learn how to get out of the 'auto' zone :) be careful, though, because it's easy to get carried away--though i believe it's one of the most worthwhile hobbies because who doesn't like capturing life's moments? a little blurry background makes them look all the better! congrats!
