Go, Dog. Go!

Ok folks, here are the long awaited pictures. After 4 hours of trying to download a 1 min. video clip, I've given up. So you're only getting pictures.

This past week I was in Oregon visiting my brother Deven, his wife Sara, and their 2 yr old son Owen. We painted this pictures on Owen's bedroom walls because he is a huge fan of the book. I listened to Deven read him the story before bed the last night and was impressed at how well Owen could tell it himself. As we were painting he'd come in and say, 'Dog go!' I hope he enjoys it for several years before he outgrows it. Deven and Sara got him a blue race car bed at a garage sale that will help complete the picture.
Deven and Sara both helped with the painting. Deven made photo copies out of the book onto transparencies and then blew them up with a projector onto the walls and traced them. For many of them we outlined them first with a black paint pen and then colored in with the paint.

The story starts over the closet doors.
To the right of the closet you have a red dog on a blue tree, a blue dog on a red tree, and a green dog on a yellow tree.
To the right of that over the windows ... look at those dogs go! Where are they going? Go dogs, go!
Circling further right, across from the trees, the green dog is up; the yellow dog is down.
And then over the bedroom door....look at those dogs go!
After several late nights painting and a 2 yr old who still woke up every morning shortly after 6am and sometimes before 6am, Sara was plum tuckered out! She could barely make it as we added the final touches. I did have to kick her out since she was sleeping on my bed.
While I was there Owen also had his first swimming lesson. This was a big improvement from a year ago when he was terrified of the water and clung to Deven's neck.
